Am Fichtelsee - Wirtsstube in Fichtelberg

The quality of the food in the restaurant is really good. Service extremely nice and food is also there quickly. Price-performance ratio top. In the front garden of the restaurant there are also small huts, in the largest there are sometimes grilled sausages and other delicious things to eat. The hut has a very rustic design and an old vintage look from the 40s - 50s. Now during Corona the restaurant is unfortunately closed, but a mulled wine stand was opened right next to it. I haven't tried the mulled wine yet, but it smells delicious. My food recommendation: Eat a Kaiserschmarrn after a hike around the Fichtelsee (a very nice route especially in winter). The Kaiserschmarrn in this restaurant was the best I've ever tasted and the compote was just as good. Meat and fish also taste exquisite.

Winter Wonderland

Unfortunately it was closed due to Corona, but thanks for a great Christmas tree in the snow. We keep our fingers crossed for you and look forward to coming back in summer

The restaurant is closed on Sunday, there is not even coffee to go. Because of Corona, of course.

In winter, during the Corona time, in cold weather, IT WAS WONDERFUL !!! The hiking trail around the lake makes you forget time and even the corona pandemic for a moment. It's really worth seeing!

Friendly and fast service. Hotel run with a lot of love in the heart of the Fichtelgebirge. A must when you are around. The dishes are always freshly prepared and the taste is excellent.

Good food, a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service make us come back to the beautiful Fichtelsee again and again.

Very nice hotel, quietly located on the Fichtelsee surrounded by nature. From there you can go hiking. The restaurant is also worth a visit, delicious regional dishes! We will be back!

Fantastically beautifully located hotel directly on the Fichtelsee. There is a huge cultivated terrace over the lake and a boat rental. We were here for dinner (but had reserved a table shortly beforehand) and very satisfied. We were assigned a table with a view of the lake. Very nice rooms and great ambience. Overall, the food was very tasty and served by extremely friendly staff. Price-performance ratio was completely okay. We can definitely recommend the restaurant.

A wonderful place, a wonderful hotel. For the second time we were able to enjoy the great rooms, the excellent service and the delicious food. Tastefully managed - traditional, Bavarian, rustic - wonderfully authentic. Dogs welcome. A magical place.

The surroundings are beautiful, you can go for a walk and go pedal boating. We weren't able to try out the food, because the internet included warm meals from mornings, but that's not true. It was also very busy, very few staff and too overloaded with guests. You can also spend the night there.

Review only for the restaurant: no vegetarian food after 3 pm, service really slow and overwhelmed and the toilets smell worse than a train station. Such a shame for this wonderful place. ?

I can only rate the gastronomy. But this completely convinced me. It is beautifully decorated with lovely details. I can only recommend the goulash soup for the small hunger. Very delicious. The side salad is also very varied. The service is quick and friendly, everything makes a cozy, but chic and professional impression. The price is affordable but a bit high.

Beautiful lake in the middle of the woods. Because the water is colored brown. Beautiful walk around the neighborhood can swim almost everywhere. Sandy beach on a small part, but also huge stones lying or just grass under the trees. According to who suits. There is parking at a few meters from the lake. There is a snack. Toilets and activities for children. All nice, tidy.

Lovely atmosphere and nice, welcoming staff. Food and beer were delicious and reasonably priced. They also heated up food for our little one. The view of the lake is calm and beautiful. We look forward to coming back.

Great location right in the forest on the lake. We had a coffee and cake there. Unfortunately the service was really terrible, unfriendly waiter that didnt make you feel welcome at all. If the service was proper it would deserve at least a four. But when you go to a restaurant of such a calibre you want to have a proper service. As they say "customer is king" unfortunately not here today. Cake and coffee where ok, even though the cappuccino was 50% foam, but hey the nature and surrounding made up for that.

Service among the worse we ever experienced. They coulnt serve what we first ordered, the second order was forgotten as well as the beer/wine. It was not fully booked. We had to wait 50 minutes for the food. No compensation was offered. Taste was acceptable but not more. A big warning!

Food was great but more expensive than the last years

One of the most beautiful and peaceful places I have ever been. Gorgeous trail around lake and a playground with a zip line! They have a nice hotel and a campground there with boat rentals.
